You can register for IELTS quickly and easily through our online registration service.
1. READ THE INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
Download and read the Information for Candidates below, which contains important information about the test format, the question types and the test results. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for candidates under the age of 16.
2. DECIDE WHICH VERSION OF THE TEST IS RIGHT FOR YOU
There are two versions of the IELTS test:

3. CHOOSE WHERE TO TAKE IELTS AND REGISTER ONLINE
You can sit your test at our regional centres in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Iraq.
Use our online registration system to find up-to-date information about test dates, availability and fees and to book your place on the test. Click on the links below to access the online registration system for your preferred regional centre:
Please note: Your Listening, Reading and Writing test will be completed on the same day. Your Speaking test may be offered on the same day, or up to a week before or after your main test day. You will receive notification in advance if your Speaking test is on a different day to your main test day.
After registering online you will receive an email that verifies your online application. Please read it carefully and print a copy of it.
4. PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS and arrange payment
To complete your registration you will need to supply valid ID and arrange to make payment for your IELTS test.
Please contact the regional centre that you book your test with to confirm what ID is accepted (typically a valid passport only) and to discuss how to make payment.
We need to receive payment and any necessary ID documents within five working days of your online registration. Unfortunately, if we do not receive the payment and documents within five working days your application will be cancelled. We cannot process incomplete applications, so please make sure you submit all the necessary information.
5. AFTER YOU REGISTER
After registering and paying test fees you will receive a confirmation email with your access codes to the free online course: Road to IELTS.
We will also send you an email with the information about the speaking test starting time, the venue and all necessary information.

IELTS is designed to be a fair test and your English language ability will be assessed objectively, regardless of any special needs that you may have.

REFUNDS AND TEST DAY TRANSFERS
If you would like to request a refund, or transfer to a different test date, you will need to contact the regional centre that your book your test with. Please note that you need to notify us at least five weeks prior to the test session you have registered for. Fees may apply.
